Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

My biggest debt is to step change

Step change helped me when I got in over my head. When things seemed impossible, they had all the answers. They helped and guided me to get things back on track and are still doing so many years later. They are life savers and I owe them my whole hearted thanks. I do not know where I would be right now, if it was not for Step Change.

I have been with Step Change for a fair period of time, and they are brilliant. I am far approaching the end of my DMP now, but if ut was not for the calm, non judgemental, professional and friendIy advisors at Step Change iwouldnot if coped with the financial situation that I was in when I first got in contact with Step Change.
