Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Incredibly helpful and supportive

I contacted StepChange when I was at rock-bottom, crippled with debts. They helped me set up a DMP, did all the communication with my debtors, and overall have been wonderful. They never judge, and are always friendly and efficient. I cannot recommend them enough. Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

The best help you can get

Obviousley, If you need the help of Stepchange then you are not in the best of situations but they made everything so easy, no judgement so offered genuine help. Out of survival mode
