Help when it's needed

I worked as a plasterer for more years than I care to mention and have never really been in debt I couldn't handle. Then out of the blue I felt unwell. I was taken for tests and was given 6 months to live. Happily that was over a year ago but I couldn't pay my bills. Thanks to Stepchange they negotiated a plan and managed to get several debts wiped clean. My advice is if you find yourself in a similar situation to at least give them a ring. Debt management made reliable and predictable

Well, there is not much to say. My debts appeared insuperable. They are now steadily reducing in a way which has eliminated almost all of the earlier stress. Step Change has helped to make the world seem a more rational place. Sound and regular advice; calm, firm but sympatric guidance. A clear horizon set when indebtedness will have come to an end. Saved me from so much stress

Money worries were making my mental health really bad until I got in touch with stepchange. Quick on the mark, efficient and explained everything so well. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If not for stepchange I do think I’d have been in a horrendous place mentally, but now it’s all been sorted I don’t have to worry about letters in the post or phone calls asking for payment. Help given, pressure off!

From my first call to StepChange, I felt like I finally had someone backing me, there when I had questions, and no question was ever a daft question.
