Got my life back

Being in debt is worrying and plucking up the courage to admit there is a problem is big. StepChange made me feel safe for the first time in years. I felt stupid/ they put me at my ease. Life saving

I got into severe debt and didn't know where to turn, I sort of buried my head in the sand and hoped it would go away but each day just got worse, i must admit i was thinking of suicide but my sister realizing how bad i was recommended stepchange. I finally built up the courage to ring them and face my demons, the gentleman I spoke to was so understanding and spoke to me in such a genuinely caring way that made me feel so at ease, they took all my troubles away and I'm now slowly paying off my debts but my life has changed so much I'm back to my happy self and could never praise stepchange enough. Brilliant, non-judgemental support and help

Thanks to stepchange I can now sleep at night, open post without fear, and answer the telephone without worry. Their help has enabled me to be debt free in just 12 months, after having struggled on my own for almost 10 years. My health has improved as well as my emotional and mental health. Life savers

If these people hadn't been around to help me, I don't know how I would have coped. There is always a friendly voice at the end of the phone and advice is always given. The process of setting up my DMP was so easy and best of all, nobody is there to judge you.
