Took away my stress and allowed me to breathe again

Being in debt is still pretty much a taboo subject in the UK. You dread phone calls and letters from creditors and live with constant dread, fear and anxiety. Step Change didn’t judge me. They guided me through the process and ultimately took the pressure from me so creditors couldn’t send me letters directly anymore And I didn’t have to dread letters and phone calls. I’m months away from being debt free, something I never imagined was possible. I know I have worked hard to pay every penny back and can be proud of myself rather than being ashamed and feeling like a failure. Helpful Humans

I’m 4 years into my arrangement with 2 years (or hopefully less!) to go. Everyone I have dealt with at Step Change during this time has been helpful, knowledgeable and supportive. Some of the people I’ve spoken to have been in my position and their empathy is invaluable. I’m in this position due partly to circumstances beyond my control but I’ve never felt judged and I appreciate their own going support more than I can fully articulate. Reviewed on: 8th July 2020

No judgment, number 1 debt solutions

I felt ashamed and foolish at the amout of debt we had ran up but from starting the token payments to setting up a budget to pay more off the step change customer service staff has alway been helpful and friendly, can't rate them higher. Reviewed on: 8th July 2020

My Saviour

Awesome, Appropriate and Really Friendly Service

When anyone faces money worries they are at their most vulnerable. The service given by Step Change ... is always Friendly giving necessary advance in a way that is appropriate and not dressing the issue up in cotton wool. Step Change took all the responsibilities for me.

Just after joining Step Change they reviewed my financial situation and arranged a debt management plan that was viable/affordable. It gave me great peace of mind and I was able to to enjoy my life.
