The hardest thing for me to do was pick up the phone and ask for help. I shouldn’t have worried as the first lady I spoke to was so kind, empathetic and understanding. After that everyone was so helpful. They listened to my struggles and to why I was in a financial mess and very slowly helped me to form a debt management plan. I cannot emphasise how much of a relief it was to know someone was willing to help me, and that I just needed to make one monthly payment to cover all my debts. I got myself in to a bad situation and didn't know which way to turn. After looking and speaking to a few companies I decided to go with step change as they were most helpful and gave me all the information I needed to feel confident in them helping me find a way out and gave me a few options and let me choose the best one for me.
