Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

These people turned my life around I went through a terrible divorce back and forward to court at the time I was running my own business with my ex husband I tried to stay on top of the solicitor and court fees but in the end It got to much I ended up owing thousands in c cards and when the interest free period ran out I was paying back at least £600 just on bare minimum payments I noticed step change at the bottom of a c card statement and decided to give them a call I cried on the phone the lady was judgemental was calm and set me up with a plan that I now manage Every time I have spoken to Stepchange every different person has been kind helpful and lovely I have done various reviews in my life but never have I felt so strongly about giving a good review Stepchange listened explained sorted and allowed me to get my life back 20 stars if I could give them that x Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

Debt support .

I was reluctant at the beginning as never have I been in debt and was trying to manage myself however it became too much overwhelming for me as the debts were being drowned just in the interest not just the minimum payments. So I reached out to stepchange life anchor to be honest with you they helped and still are supporting took the stress and the constant phone calls and letters bombardment felt harnessed really.
