From death to life

My husband deserted me when I was in hospital having life saving surgery to remove a pancreatic tumour. He left me with all the debts he had accrued during our marriage . I wanted to die and had no one to turn to for help till a friend told me about Christians against Poverty. They referred me to StepChange who have changed my life. They taught me how to budget and not to feel condemned. I now have much more confidence and can afford to pay my rent and buy food. Took a huge weight off my mind

Working a minimum wage job and bringing up 2 children I had to rely on getting credit to get by. Fast forward a few years and I was in a better paid job, however my debts just seemed never ending.
