Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Amazing company

Easy process

Every member of the team i have spoken to have been kind and understanding and patient. I originally started trying to sort out my debts with another charity who took months, I’m so pleased Step Change had the online budget calculator for me to fill in in my own time and then when i phoned up they had the information ready to set up my DMP there and then on the phone, simple!! A simple conversation with no judgment changed my life

Taken all on my creditors , working all my finances out with step change, has given me the chance to start again with my financial life..
