Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

Non judgemental, easy to talk to

Non judgemental, easy to talk to, I didnt have to feel ashamed anymore, just the facts and the solutions. Emails take a while to be replied to but the phone is always there, not sure where id have been without them, I dread to think. Reviewed on: 18th May 2026

Stepchange have helped financially and mentally

Stepchange have helped me reduce my debt with affordable payments. I used to do phone reviews annually but now I do them online. I can easily access all my info and statements in one place helping me keep a breast of my financial situation. No hassle from creditors just annual statements.
