Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

StepChange - LifeChange

When I ran a business back in the 80s, I forever gave all customers the best service imaginable. That did not stop an Indian restaurant chain taking me to the cleaners for £110K. My life spiralled downwards, taking out large loans from certain banks . I lost control of the accumulated debts, having Court Orders and the like. I was recommended to go to StepChange. Without any exaggeration my life started to come together. Agreed amounts would be paid to the companies that I finished up, in debt to. StepChange saved my life.
