Stepchange was a life saver and still is.

Stepchange was there when my wife and I were getting into debt due to my having a heart attack and not being able to work so ended up living on credit which was not good for our boths health and mental health we now have a affordable payment each month which has given us peice of mind and a debt free date. Having spiralled out of control due to severe mental...

Having spiralled out of control due to severe mental health, I found myself in a deep dark hole. When I contacted StepChange the people I spoke to showed such an understanding of my situation. They were not judgemental and treated me with respect and compassion. I honestly don’t know what would have happened if I had remained in that pit of misery. Having them help me meant that I had a fresh start to concentrate on moving forwards in trying to get help with my illness. Please please contact Stepchange if you are struggling with debt.
