Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Helped me out of a black hole.

Helped me out when I was struggling to cope with my debts. I can now sleep at night and feel like I am in control and able to breathe. They made me see that there is hope and I can deal with my debt in an affordable way. Reviewed on: 7th June 2025

I'm 54 months in to a 6 year plan a Stepchange have been there throughout. I was in a dark place with crippling interest charges go on to my account every month from my creditors. The pressure wad taken away after joining up for a Stepchange plan .Probably one of the best decisions I've ever made Reviewed on: 7th June 2025
