Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

Step Change help people find peace of mind

Step Change helped me to find peace of mind by helping me to deal with all my debts fairly and affordably. Extremely helpful.

Extremely helpful team. No judgement and given realistic plan to sort my debt issues. They take care of everything and remove the stress of dealing with creditors. Online portal is helpful as it means you can go on and update your information when there are any changes. Also great to see the countdown of when you can expect to be 'debt free'. It's changed my life, for the better!

Before I found StepChange my debt was all over the place, as soon as I was paid it went out to pay for everything, never having anything for myself. StepChange helped me put things in order and manageable. And nearly 2.5 years later ( I finish it in Dec this year 2026) and I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. And to finally have money in my pocket after payday, is something I haven't seen for many, many years. I will be eternally grateful to what StepChange has helped me with and I would highly recommend anybody in the same position to get in touch and ask for help, there is no shame. Thank you.
