StepChange, the first step to be debt free.

i told Step change all my details and they worked out what i could afford.I don't worry about paying my bills anymore and i know the debt that Step change is paying off is coming down slowly but surely. Give StepChange a chance to help

After being made redundant and falling behind on multiple payments to lenders,I contacted StepChange who helped me start and set up the process to becoming debt free. The process was amazing from start to finish and all the steps explained clearly asto how to move foward and what action to take next. Wish I didn't wait along as I did before making contact, if your in any financial predicament definitely give StepChange a call! After a difficult period in my life, I found myself...

After a difficult period in my life, I found myself unable to deal with debt I had incurred. I had many sleepless nights worrying about how I could get myself out of my mess. I was embarrassed & could not turn to my family for help. A work colleague just happen to ask me if I was OK, I opened up & he pointed me in the direction of Step change. I plucked up the courage to phone & my phone call was answered with an understanding gentle voice. After going through all my financial details & outgoings, which included all the little things we forget about. A manageable re payment plan was put in place for me, which this is reviewed every 12 months or sooner if needed. Step change has taught me to budget alongside paying off my debt. I am proud to say I will be debt free by Feb 2025. I also have the tools & knowledge to never get myself in this position again - all through Step Change. Reviewed on: 17th May 2024

Should have done it years ago.

Everyone we spoke to were professional, helpful and extremely patient whilst going through a difficult time they advised us of our options and listened to our needs they explained everything clearly and put us at ease they really are remarkable not only that but they are always available by phone when you have a worry and need to speak to someone they are always there to help you, what an amazing Debt Management Team they truly are we cannot Thank them enough. Give them all medals !

I'd been struggling with loan repayments for over a year after taking out more than I could realistically afford. After months of stress and starting to fall further behind I called Stepchange who ran through my debts and suggested several options for me. They advised of the best one to take but left the final decision to me. They are so helpful every time I need to make an ammendment to fit my circumstances and every person I've spoken to there has treated me with patience and understanding and been happy to provide as much assistance as required. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is struggling regularly to meet payments . Their service has provided a buffer between myself and my creditors which took so much of the stress away and gave me the chance to concentrate on my life again. I think its fair to say they saved me from certain mental health issues that come with prolonged stress. Their work is invaluable and makes a huge difference to people's lives . Thankyou to you all.
