Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Life-Changing Support When I Needed It Most

I cannot thank StepChange enough for the support they gave me during one of the most stressful times in my life. They helped me set up a Debt Management Plan (DMP), and honestly, it has completely changed my life for the better. From the beginning, the advisors were understanding, professional, non-judgemental, and genuinely caring. They took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me feel in control of my finances again. Thanks to StepChange, I finally have peace of mind and a clear path forward. What really stands out is how much they truly want to help people, not just treat you like another number. I would highly recommend them to anyone struggling with debt or financial stress. The only downside is that the phone lines can be extremely busy, and sometimes it’s very difficult to get through.
