Step Change provided informative and easily accessible financial management support, at a time when I felt overwhelmed by debt and without any other alternative repayment options. Reviewed on: 9th June 2025

So grateful for Stepchange intervention

I have used Stepchange for the purpose of debt management. I was introduced to them two years ago and they’ve intervened with my creditors on my behalf. Since then, they have helped me so much in managing my debt. I pay an agreed amount every month and on a year basis, I update my current circumstances and so far have reduced my outgoings. Without Stepchange, I believe I would still be in financial difficulties today and I am, and will, ever be grateful for their service. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

No judgement, just guidance 100%

Honestly, was the best nights sleep the day I spoke to Stepchange and put my plan in place. Every call was met without judgement and always helpful and informative. Have since recommended them to another friend in need. Please, if you are struggling with debts it’s well worth a call. It was the best feeling seeing the message of “congratulations, you are debt free”. First time ever!! Realistic payments and I was on the plan for over six years with guidance every step of the way. Step change provides wide range of debt management plans/solutions and also professional advisory for client to undrestand which plan is the best based on the information provided by client. But the most important feature of step change support for me, based on my belief and dream that how would I challenge and stand up for whole my debt, was giving me this confident that as long as I am determinded to stand up for it, I have complete support to continue my challenge against my debts with DMP. So if you feel your webeing is based on debt relief as soon as possible, Step Change provide you with the best plans such IVA/Insolvency or bankruptcy. BUT if you are a person like me who has just one dream in whole life which is paying to the last penny of my debts to creditors, Stepchange will also support you with Debt Management Plan (DMP) to stand up and continue your challenge AS LONG AS YOU ARE IN BELIEVING YOURSELF YOU CAN DO THIS. I can't find a word to appreciate all Stepchange dedicated professional team and managers have done in support of me during last almost 10 years. STEPCHANE HAVE MADE ME BELIEVE, DEBTS ARE NOT IMPOSSIBLE CHALLENGE TO BE PAID BACK IN FULL, EVEN IF IT TAKE UNKNOWN TIME BECOMES TRUE, AS LONG AS I TRUELY FEEL BY CONTINUING MY CHALLENGES, ONE DAY I WILL PAY IT BACK TO CREDITORS IN FULL. That's why after 10 years still I am confidently and with peace of mind standing up to make this dream true and I have never felt debts are a threat to my welbeing that must be cleared as soon as possible but I have been given enough support to find a way pay it back in full. Stepchange saved my life

I had a mental breakdown and was subsequently made redundant. I live alone so this meant I was in financial hardship and I was too ill to work. I don't know if I would have survived if Stepchange had not assisted me in managing my debt. I think my overwhelming feeling from talking to their staff was that there was no judgement and I was treated with the utmost respect. I had a thorough walk through all my options and my payment plan was agreed. I could never have imagined that such help was available until I was in such a dark place.
