Following the death of our son due to family problem...

Following the death of our son due to family problems we got into severe debt a few years ago .Whilst chatting on a forum we were advised to check "Step Change" to see how we could be helped. after talking our problems through. we andertook the advice given to us and a very large weight was removed from our worries. the debt reduced slowly without us being pressured by debt collectors The staff at step change are excellent and very understanding. Pulled out of the abyss

I was in a very horrible financial situation with escalating debts and interests with no solution in sight. I had a significant illness in the family with one my children and over extended myself to get to the solution to her medical problem. After understanding the prognosis, my wife also had to stop working to look after her which left us in a huge mess financially. I had nowhere else to go and no opportunity to even restructure the debts I had. I luckily found Stepchange online and they were a godsend. They have helped me budget, plan and control my debts and I am in a much better place mentally. I am grateful for all the support that was given to me and Stepchange save lives. Gave me my life back

I was in real debt and didn’t think I would ever get out of it. I was getting letters and phone calls threatening me with court. I was recommended to talk to Stepchange. They helped me sort my finances, work out how much I could afford and which would be the best way forward. They wrote to all my creditors with a plan and the chasing stopped almost immediately. This gave me breathing space and helped me take control of my depression. I am now only months away from being debt free and a life of financial control all thanks to Stepchange. Gave me my confidence back.

Gave me my confidence back. Before I spoke to StepChange, its was so hard to manage ny finances and operate a healthy wellbeing. Stress and anxiety features heavily. From the first session, it was almost as if some turned the positivity dial up, and I could feel my life getting back on track and my stress levels dropping. The support and simplicity of managing a Debt management plan, is incredible. Such a great experience, and I highly recommend anyone struggling to manage their finances, who are feeling hopeless, there is hope and it’s so each to take that first step.
