Lifesavers!

I had to sell my business at a loss due to a change of circumstances & was left with huge debts, I was totally overwhelmed, but stepchange set up a debt management plan with my creditors, got the interest frozen & helped me sort out a sensible budget which still allowed me to live! I was in deep despair over my debt feeling embarrass...

I was in deep despair over my debt feeling embarrassed and a failure despite working 2 jobs trying to keep my head about water. I finally got the courage and after a non judgmental conversation over the phone, they set me up with a debt management plan. One that was realistic and affordable. I have paid just over half of my debt back which is a massive achievement and I will continue with this until it has been paid in full. The benefit of using StepChange is that they gelp you set up a monthly budget will leads to becoming debt free. I would definitely recommend StepChange to anyone with financial issues. Reaching out to step change was possible one the most important decisions we’ve ever made. Not only did they help us get our finances under control after Covid ripped out business apart but were now in a position where we will be debt free this year. When They Come For You, StepChange Is Your Shield

My partner fell seriously ill two years ago and we fell into debt as a result. It feels very lonely when you are having to deal with the banks and you dread every letter through the letterbox. StepChange helped us to work out an affordable repayment schedule and then contacted our creditors, more or less telling them what we could safely afford to repy. The relief of knowing we are paying back on our terms and that StepChange is a buffer between us and tehm is palpable. We still get the automated letters from our bank but we simply pass them along and think no more about it. Customer Service is always sympathetic and helpful and you never get the feeling that you are being judged. Thery appreciate - and will be the first to affirm - that life can somply sometimes be rough and that their job is to help make it a little less frightening, overwhelming and difficult.
