Stepchange was recommended to me by a family member. My Debt was very overwhelming, and my wages just weren’t stretching far enough. I was a little worried about taking this step,i believed I got myself into the debt and I had to get myself out of it. i felt I was cheating by going down this route, but Im so glad I applied to stepchange. A weigh has been lifted, it was easy and quick to set up, I’m making affordable payments after completing a budget and it’s reviewed every year. Such a relief

I contacted Stepchange after really struggling with debts due to a relationship breakdown. It was such a relief to speak to someone and admit I was struggling. They were so kind, didn't judge and helped me work out what I could afford to pay each month. I make one payment a month to Stepchange and they split it between my debts.
