Couldn't be easier

I was hesitant to get it touch, out of embarrassment, shame etc however the people at step change are honestly so calm and understanding. Took me through step by step, so helpful, explained everything fully and kept in contact. I'm so glad I finally reached out Reviewed on: 14th July 2023

Saved my sanity

I was desperate and felt ashamed getting into debt. Felt like everything was out of my control. Demanding letters threats to take me to court.. Went on line seen Step Change.. From the initial call to now. They made me feel at ease. Went through my options. They really helped me. I have recommended them to friends who have been in a similar situation My plan is coming to an end. They are brilliant they helped me.

I was struggling with my debts for the last 18 months. I was only able to pay the interest, but it left me short every month. it was so bad I didn't have anything left for other bills or food I was living on cheap food from the supermarket like beans on toast reduced meals sometimes nothing because I couldn't afford it, I was making myself ill, I am already ill I have bladder cancer. angina and kidney disease I needed proper food not rubbish. 18 months ago I was comfortable I wasn't missing anything and was able to afford all my bills and live properly, I was scared that people would judge me and shout at me for getting in such a mess I just kept paying the interest to keep them off my back I was going out of my mind so I phoned c. a. b. They put me in touch with stepchange they was fantastic they helped me budget my money I got in touch with the creditors to let them know what i was doing they was all fantastic they did not judge me and offer me as much help as I needed until I got onto debt management scheme, stepchangedid the rest I can't praise them enough, the creditors are happy, I have money to live on I can do a proper shop pay my bills and my creditors, thanks to stepchange they have helped me so much thank you.. Peace of mind service

I was getting so worried about my debt not sleeping knowing things were only going to get worse. I took the plunge and rung step change they were so helpful non judgemental and put me at ease. Just the help I needed at a very challenging time

Step change has been so simple, straightforward and easy to use. I was in a very difficult position financially with costs escalalting uncontrollably and I could no longer afford my payments. With the help from Step Change I have been able to take control, make the payments I can afford and gte my finances back on track.
