Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Needed help, StepChange was there the whole journey

I had pulled my credit report as I wasn't on top of my finances. I discovered I had more outgoing than incoming and needed help. I didn't want to file for bankruptcy so searched for a company thgat could help. Stepchange literally changed and saved my life! The application process was smooth and easy and over the course of 4 years I had affordable payments and paid everything off. I cannot thank StepChange enough. Reviewed on: 6th June 2025

When I worked in debt I'd always recommend stepchange

When I worked in collections I'd always recommend stepchange to people having financial difficulties (or CCCS as they were back then) and when I found myself in a difficult financial situation due to impulsive spending and poor decisions step change was the obvious and only choice for me, no judgement no hassle simple to use and fair, best in their field in my opinion Reviewed on: 6th June 2025
