Caring and Compassionate

An easy to navigate online system along with caring individuals who work for the company, helped me move forward. Everyone's circumstances are different and come with different worries. These days DEBT is probably the no.1 worry for most people. Helping individuals to get the best solution is important and that's where Step Change Debt Charity did! My Debt Management Plan

I contacted Stepchange as I was struggling with unsecured Debts which had built up over time following my wife's Bereavement after which I went of the rails and needed help desperately. From the moment I contacted them everything calmed down and they very quickly suggested a DMP as the best option for me and after I agreed contacted all my creditors very quickly and put into place the DMP which has been running for over a year now. Helpful, non-judgemental advice and support

I struggled to accept that I needed help with my debts. I am almost 70 and felt very embarrassed to be in this position at this time in my life. Step Change were recommended to me by my bank. Right from my very first contact Step Change were helpful and I never felt patronised or judged.. Weights lifted

Following the breakdown of my marriage and subsequently financial disarray, i felt so overwhelmed by a whole multitude of recent events.. The final straw was the change of jobs and significant drop of income. This resulted in me having to take drastic measures. After reaching out to step change and looking at the available options for me. It was like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders when i was accepted to enter their DMP. Times are still tough, but at keast i can manage better than i was previously. Took away my anxiety

I had lost my job through Covid and everything had got out of hand. I was a single woman aged 60 when it happened. I had my salary cut when furloughed, then I was made redundant. I had no chance of finding another job as my age was against me and I was in administration work and most had closed down. I didn’t know how to cope with mortgage payments and the debts I had no matter how big or small. I rang debt change as I wasn’t sleeping and couldn't cope. Before the end of the telephone consultation I knew I had done the right thing. I wasn’t made to feel inadequate because of the situation I was in. They sorted everything. I didn’t have to make phone calls to my creditors, they did it all. I now pay an affordable amount every month and receive statements and I’m kept up to date with everything they do to help me. Super friendly super easy

Excellent team

I think the service they offer really does help when you are in your darkest moments. I never thought I would be able to be financially free again but now there is light at the end of the tunnel. They make the process easy and not awkward. I did everything online and now make one payment to them for my DMP and I will be debt free in 30 months. The Stepchange service is brilliant!!

I have found Stepchange to be very helpful at a time when my stress levels were through the roof. Being able to talk to someone about my debts has been brilliant and the online service is excellent too. I recently changed my debt plan online and did it incorrectly. I panicked and changed it again. With most companies, this would cause confusion and a long-winded process to go through but Stepchange were on it straight away and to my relief, the payments were adjusted correctly, to my. Debt Management

We got into financial difficulties and contacted Step Change. They were very professional and sympathetic to our difficulties.
