I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

Piece of mind

Being in debt is an awfully worrying thing. You constantly fret over money, managing it and keeping everyone happy. But at times it's too stressful and you worry about things getting too much to handle. Step Change have helped me by taking the pressure off. I pay them one payment a month and they sort everything else out for me. They give advice when debt collecting agencies are being arsey, demanding and threatening and make you feel reassured that you're doing all you can. Reviewed on: 7th July 2023

Been in debts for about 10 years And decided enough was enough so I spoke to stepchange this year Absolutely fantastic Highly recommended The staff who I spoke too When I rang a few times Was fantastic I asked what's best for myself in my situation Was recommended to get a debt relief order Which I went for I was getting worried about debts But stepchange put me at ease Which I am very grateful for I am happy how Looking forward to the future Now my debts have been taken care off So big thanks to stepchange Keep up the good work.. Freedom

Due to the escalating cost of shopping and energy I found myself using credit for everyday expenses and then struggling to keep up with repayments.
