Step Change The Life Savers

Following a messy divorce. I found myself left with debt and no means of getting myself straight. I was existing not living! I had done all the right things spoken to my bank but I just could get to a place where I could live without just paying bills! So when I called Step Change it was like someone putting out a hand to pull me out of what had become a very dark hole! The friendly calming nature of those I spoke to reassured me I was in safe hands, literally. The advice at this point was thorough and valuable they never made me feel helpless quite the opposite. They reassured me it was ok to have money for recreation or to save and not just be paying bills and struggling to last the month in terms of food or fuel! They guided me through setting up a payment plan that allowed me to live a balanced life without the desperate fear of going under and worse still losing my home! Due to the cost of living crisis there have been the odd bump along the way but again Step Change were there to advise and make adjustments to my payment plan where needed! They now feel like a trusted friend who I can go to for advice when things take an unexpected financial turn! I really cannot recommend them enough and cannot really quantify here in these few words what they have done for me and my families peace of mind! Thank you Step Change!! Reviewed on: 7th July 2023

Instant relief with the support and advice

The Team are awesome

They have been brilliant, when I was at a crisis, they were there to offer advice and help. They do such an awesome job, I just wish there was more personnel, it can be difficult to speak with advisors because they are inundated with calls. Reviewed on: 7th July 2023

Debt Management

I approached Step Change about a year ago and they helped me organise my debts and dealt with my creditors. Their help took an enormous amount of stress from me and allowed me to get on with my life knowing my debts were being met. life is better now my debt is reducing and under control and Step Change are only a phone call away if I need any help.. The best debt management company

These guys are brilliant, they are reassuring, none judgmental, kind, caring. Every step of the way was pretty smooth. There were stressful times, but that’s not on them, if anything they eased that stress. They always answered my questions and calmed me. Genuinely a brilliant organisation, would recommend to anyone struggling to pay their debts. I wasn’t struggling but had so many I got overwhelmed, they calmed me and put things into perspective that the money I owed in my whole life span isn’t a lot. That whilst I needed to start the DMP, it wasn’t unmanageable and gave me a good time frame of how long it would take to pay. I now don’t stress about debts and that is, 100% thanks to them. Gratitude

I can not thank step change enough for being there for me. I took over the role of full time carer for my mother. Leaving a good business, paying all my creditors on time and without hesitation, too having to live on carers allowance and no other income, and getting into debt. Thankfully someone pointed me in the direction of Step Change and through them , i am now paying creditors what i can within my budget, which in turn gives me less stress, and able to be a carer without the worry of when someone will knock on the door.
