You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

Opened a Lifetime ISA - would recommend to anyone!

Opened a Lifetime ISA whilst we save for a home. Have only had one interaction with customer service and everyone I spoke to was super helpful. The app is super easy to use and understand, especially with depositing money. I like the fact you can create a goal and it updates, even when you pair with another member. The options for other ISA’s looks great to - so much easier to have it all in one place. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking! Reviewed on: 7th March 2026

Tembo account was very easy and straightforward to set up. I make monthly contributions and it tell me how much I have left to save for that year on my LISA. I recommend it to my brother and my friends to help them start saving for their first home. Tembo also send out informative emails which help keep you updated on important details. Excellent customer service

The customer service team have been amazing when I've needed to reach out. The app is pretty user friendly and the AI chatbot is brilliant. The interest rate is fair, but has dropped for the LISA with little option to move else where. I just hope I can find a home to move it to and I'd definitely consider using Tembos mortgage advice service. Reviewed on: 7th March 2026

It just seemed so easy to save money. Every little helps when you are a first time buyer. And with the bonuses received on our type of account, it made it easier and quicker to get to where we wanted to be. Reviewed on: 7th March 2026

Never had any issues. It’s straight forward. And, unlike bigger banks, they actually give you the best interest rates, instead of pocketing all the interest that your money makes for themselves. They seem to consistently keep the best or near best rates. Reviewed on: 7th March 2026

Tembo - perspective from a first time buyers

The app is so easy to use, and to partner up with other people if you are buying together makes things so much easier- it’s a one stop shop for everything house related. As first time buyers it gave us peace of mind that everything is in one place. Tembo also provide excellent materials such as articles to inform and advise first time buyers on the steps they need to take. It’s really great to have that information to hand.
