You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

Competitive rates and supporting first-time buyers

The Tembo LISA has very competitive savings rate compared to other providers which was my main reason for opening an account with them. Additionally as a first-time buyer, it’s great to be able to check the amount and rates I’m likely to be offered by mortgage providers. I switched to Tembo last year, and its been great!

I swtiched from MoneyBox last year, and its been the best move. Incredible rate, fantastic app with frequent updates, and a helpful mortgage estimator. Tembo helped by my first house

I joined Tembo 3 years ago previously nude customer service is excellent when ever I have asked questions you get quick correct responses.Its easy to set up monthly contributions and helped me save and reach my goal of buying my first house. Reviewed on: 5th March 2026

Competitive interest rates and good mobile phone app

They offer competitive interest rates, and they also offer a package e.g. free expert advice and preferential mortgage rates to actually carry through with purchasing your desired property. The app used is also very intuitive and easy to use. Reviewed on: 5th March 2026

Great for lifetime isa

Only wish I switched to tembo for my LISA earlier as their rates are more competitive than my previous provider.. Would give five star but was not impressed with the mortgage side. When I tried to remortgage I was not able to do so due to my bad credit history from more than 6 years ago. My credit is excellent now and has been for last 6 years but despite that they still could not take me to one of their lenders. Reviewed on: 5th March 2026

Tembo is excellent for young buyers

Tembo has made it a lot easier for us to get onto the property ladder, as young buyers. It is very easy to set up and easy to manage your payments each month, adding more when we’re able to. They set out clear guidelines on how long it will take to save up for your deposit, with a service to help in getting a mortgage too.
