You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

Customer Support

Excellent customer support - I was locked out of the account and was not receiving emails to get OTP. I used the online chat feature and was replied to within a few minutes despite it being around 9:30pm. The app is so easy to use, so many helpful tips / mortgage advise. I only wish I found the app sooner to start saving for my first home sooner! Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026

Mixed customer service - but, overall, a lot to praise

I have found the customer service to be mixed - sometimes outstanding (e.g. a technical expert replying promptly to an issue with the app), sometimes very poor (e.g. being given inaccurate information which affected my financial choices, taking months to respond to complaints). I have noticed inaccurate information being given in webinars. However, the majority of staff seem to be expert and very personable, helpful and genuine. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026
