A wonderful Building Society.

At 82 and as a self-employed artist with a low income I had given up hope of finding a mortgage, even with financial support from my family -- my situation just didn't tick the boxes for any lenders or brokers we approached. However, FBS have been wonderfully helpful,, and Peter, our main contact, was always patient and supportive.. I cannot recommend FBS too highly.. . Reviewed on: 4th July 2023

Product Switch Variation offer advice/questions

On receipt of our mortgage product switch offer documentation I telephoned FBS for further clarification regarding the offer. I was provided detailed and clear answers to all my questions by FBS staff member Mia Tudar. She was polite, efficient and gave us confidence in our choice of option and the support provided by FBS. Throughout our dealings with FBS all staff have been first class. The online systems have worked extremely well. We look forward to finalising our new mortgage offer. Thank you all. People we can trust to act in our best interests

We have always felt that the Family Building Society is a safe pair of hands. We have always been treated fairly and kept well-informed, in a timely manner. The products offered are very good value for money. I would say without hesitation that the ethical standards of FBS are head and shoulders above the rest of the industry. Excellent service

I had to unfortunately raise money, by way of a mortgage, at the ripe old age of 71! I went to a Financial Advisor, who approached Family Building Society. The process from start to finish was first class by both companies. The mortgage was agreed and was set up easily. When I had a query, this was answered clearly and immediately, via telephone. Excellent Customer Service

I would like to highlight the excellent customer service provided by Louise. Not only did Louise take time to understand my situation, she explored options as well as finding out about aspects neither of us were sure of. Some good some not so good

After initial issues with the first contact Aaron: delay in sending me forms and then establishing he had delayed / not passed the completed forms to a relevant section, I have been dealing with Mandy, who does seem to be far more efficient and is helping progress my application.
