Awful at paying out

1
I turned 55 in April.Applied for my small pot pension to pay for my wife to have foot surgery to alleviate her pain.I provided every document that was requested.Delays followed. Finally I was messaged to contact an 0300 telephone number.Except it doesn't work from Ireland. The UK open university 0300 does ,so clearly it's people's partnership have the problem.Thanfully my sister works in the industry and she found 01293 586666.I called and spoke to reception. She tried to transfer me to the small pots team ,before coming back and saying thry would not speak to me but wanted me to answer questions such as ,am I really me ,and was I taking my smallpot of my own free will.Bu****"it basically. They then waited twenty more working days and paid out with no further communication. No email or nothing.I can no longer get onto the portal either.I was paid out about 5 percent less than my illustration when I first requested my smallpot 3 months earlier. So I've seen the typical people's partnership response asking people to email them on this website. So my response is you have my details ,why don't you email me and I will take twenty working days to reply to you.Robert Cave Date of experience: 18 July 2024 Reviewed on: 19th July 2024

Awful customer service

1
They are a nightmare to deal with. If you ever need help with anything, they usually take at least a week to even reply. When they do reply, they just come with more problems than solutions. It never feels like you're actually communicating with a human, but rather, just someone copying/pasting responses. Even simple things like setting up individual payments are incredibly difficult to set up with them. If I can't trust them with simple tasks or to communicate with me when I need help, I can't trust them with my money. Reviewed on: 17th July 2024

Utter rubbish customer service. AVOID.

1
Paying your money in, no problem. But getting your money back, it's utter, utter rubbish customer service. Having been told my cash download would take 'up to 20 working days' to process, and given a completion date, it wasn't. On complaining in a call, I was told bluntly that 'other customers were in the queue before me', so I had to be patient. Despite reminding them I was actually a customer, and this was MY money, they had no mechanism in place to discuss and escalate the issue, unless I started an 'official' complaint with the company which they would then respond to 'within another 3 days'. Dinosaur companies like this should have been forced out of business ages ago. Reviewed on: 27th February 2024

The worst company I've ever dealt with

1
The worst company I've dealt with in 61 years of life. I've been treat in an appalling manner. There has been no customer care. Excuse after excuse about why my small pot hasn't been paid. Issues with the web site. Issues with my paperwork, issues with my photos, issues with my bank statement, problems with missing information. I was asked to send a hard copy of my bank statement. Which I did. I said, to clarify. Is this everything you need? They replied yes. That's it. I got a letter this morning asking me for more information. Why was this not pointed out when I asked? Because they want to hold onto your money as long as possible. It's an absolute scam. Even when you leave a review of the company. And write to their special help line. There is still no help forthcoming. I don't know how older less savvy technophobes cope. Because I'm really struggling with it. This has been going on since October Reviewed on: 4th February 2024

Pre retirement pension fund down fall

2
Hi - My pension, with the people partnership continues to loose money, down 3.3% since Christmas 20233 and that's in the pre-retirement fund and it continues to fall. My aim was to draw this fund down until I'm 67 (62 now) but I'm going to have to work a little to bridge the gap now. You tell me that I can pick my own funds, I'm not the financial expert, you are supposed to undertake that role, not me. Poor financial management for those in pre retirement appears to be the case, it’s not good enough. December 2022 £112,342.75 to 27 October 23 £108,669, down to 96.73% of its value How is this helping those in retirement drawing down income annually? Reviewed on: 27th October 2023
