Perfect for my small business ...

Opening a business account with Tide for my small business was a great decision. I have all the information I need at hand always and can send invoices so easily. It is simple to categorise your purchasing and spending. If you do need help its quick and easy too. Its really been brilliant for me for the three years I have been self employed. If you are looking to open a business…AVOID If you are looking to open a business account with Tide please don't, I have had the same service as the rest of these bad reviews. Account frozen due to them doing checks, The people that have given good reviews is because you can open an account in minutes, give a month or so when they freeze your account and you cant pay staff, rent and puts your business under. No one ever gets back to you, have called twice a day and just get fobbed of by the same response, you cant speak to anyone apart from the fob off team. If you want to save your businesses money and not be able to spend it then this is the bank for you, because you will not be able to. Reviewed on: 5th January 2022

A very strange bank..

Please don't waste your time with this bank guys. I opened an account with them then a month in, receive an email advising me my account would be closed and now I'm unable to access my funds to feed my daughter or pay bills. This has left be in a compromising situation financially and has also happened to 2 other friends that I know. Please don't bother wasting your time, your money isn't protected and they will purposely ignore you when you try to reach out. Reviewed on: 31st December 2021

So long to sort a simple issue

DANGER DANGER Noticed fraudulent payments coming out of my account from one source. Was asked to freeze my account which i did. 3 week later matter still not resolved and they are holding on to a cash payment I made the day before. Little or no response from the Bank. Matter still not resolved. Having to start a formal complaints procedure to resolve a simple matter. Effecting my business as I have payments to deposit and no trustworthy business bank account. The lack of contact and customer disregard from a CUSTOMER CARE department that should be there to SUPPORT. Avoid these guy like the plague. I've been waiting 3 days to try and get my account unblocked after they blocked a transaction. It is literally impossible to speak to anyone on email, app or phone. One of the most frustrating customer experiences ever. Reviewed on: 26th November 2021

Tide assist theft from your account

A company called " The Ad People " offered me a Google adds service, after £700 spent and not single lead generated I cancelled the campaign. Tide are continuing to allow these rip off to take £120 out of my bank for NOTHING! They will not cancel the debt. The police informed won't do nothing as civil. Do not use Tide they honour fraudulent direct debits and will do nothing. Of course someone will come back with a BS reply about email out customer service blah blah, but I've done that hence why I am here warning you lot. Great for fast acceptance etc but will assist companies stealing cash from your bank account. Reviewed on: 29th October 2021

If you change device you have lost your money

I have been back and forth with this company trying to get back access to my business account, even though we don't have much money there, they are not providing any concrete solution to get this sorted. The' recovery system' is a nightmare that will never work. My money is kept away by them since there is no way to get back to login in to my account. Reviewed on: 22nd October 2021

Just Google Tide froze my account

Just Google “tide froze my account” and see how these people operate. Well, I have 2 separateTide business accounts so feel it’s fair for them to get 2 negative reviews. In response to their BS on the previous review: “Rest assured that account pauses happen only to ensure the safety of our members' accounts. We don't take chances with security and we are always following industry regulations in regard to this. It would be our pleasure to look into this and forward your feedback to the relevant team.“ This is just the same cut and paste response they say every-time a question is asked. They have paused 2 business accounts. ONE FULL MONTH AGO. I employ people. I pay wages. I invoice people. I receive money. Now how much fun is it to run a business without a bank account? How easy is it to get people to pay invoices to a new account? How much fun is it to try and pay wages when you can’t access your money? Think we all know the answers don’t we? How can it take a company this big over a month to “review” something. They haven’t even been able to tell me what they are “reviewing.” They can’t even have someone have a conversation with me. They have been given my contact number and details in their below request and guess what? No-one has rang. God knows why this company does this? I own seven companies. My business banking with HSBC for 4 years. No issues. Starling bank? No issues. Monzo? No issues. Tide? Let’s freeze it for no reason. Let’s not bother prioritising a frozen account so the business can carry on operating, let’s just send a copy and paste text reply through the app. What tickles me the most is that their “complaints department” is looking into this, and uses the same cut and paste response as the general chat. Just go to one of the other banks. It’s much easier and you won’t be subject to some none-sense as this company must not give two poops about it’s clients, otherwise I wouldn’t be in the same place 1 month later….
