Best on the UK market but not perfect

Moved from Freetrade and opened my ISA with Trading212 due to having more stocks, more worldwide markets, no FX fee for overseas stocks, web platform and free S&S ISA. As a long time investor I'm very pleased with the platform. Trading212 are not perfect however, two of my main gripes are: 1. Communication and transparency, which they are continuously working on, still needs to be better. A lot of their key and important communications are on their forum and not social media, they are not promoting themselves as they should. Also transparency when there's downtime or issues which are not logged or centralised somewhere for people to see. Again, you have to browse through the community forum to be aware of things. 2. The trading platform. Trades are done via IB (Interactive Brokers) and they do not own their own platform, hence any new stocks requests from the community which are not on IB won't be able to be added. Also the low volume market orders which are executed via SETSqx are literally anyone's luck when, how and at what price they get executed. Reviewed on: 18th January 2021

Be Warned Trading 212!

Opened an account with Trading 212 to tip my toe in the investing water. Decided it was too complicated for a novice investor. Here comes the catch Trading 212 make it virtually impossible to get your funds out of their account system. I have virtually kissed goodbye to £500 as there seems to be no way out other that spend ages with a virtual chat room going round in circles. This is a genuine review to warn any other novice investors. I really can't afford to throw away £500 but seems there is no clear way to close the account and get your owns funds back. Disappointing Security: No Real Support When It Matters

I trusted Trading 212 as a platform to manage my savings and investments, but when my account was compromised, I was shocked by how limited the support and security actually were. Despite reporting the issue quickly, the fraudster was able to bypass account protections by exploiting weak links in their process, including actions taken through email and SMS. There was no phone support, no secure backup system, and no meaningful way to stop the fraud once it started. Trading 212 insists their systems worked properly, but in reality, their design allowed someone else to access and empty my account. This experience left me feeling extremely vulnerable and let down. Financial platforms must do more to protect users, especially when it comes to identity verification and crisis response. If you’re looking for a secure investment platform, be cautious and make sure you’re comfortable with the support options they actually provide—not just what they advertise. Well structured and simple to use

Having used Trading 212 since last summer, I can wholeheartedly say it has been a very pleasant experience trading on their platform. Easy and secure

T212 offers the best service.

T212 offers the best service... 1 - it gives cashback, i do not need to do anything, I do not have to activate anything. Just pay when I need to pay. The have a second pot - one for investing one for spending. Amazing feature. They allow me to invest commission free. The have a great customer service. and they pay an inflation busting interest rate on uninvested cash.
