Benchmark for ethical banking and customer service

Triodos’ ethical values align with my values, which for me is very important. Their customer service is outstanding - local (as in UK-based), responsive and efficient. Most importantly, with Triodos I don’t get stuck in frustrating bot loops when I reach out to them. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Triodos provides a good straightforward current account service for a small monthly fee with the knowledge that all my money is being used for lending to organisations which are sustainable or ethically based. The app is easy to use, efficient and uncluttered (unlike the NatWest app I used to use which got steadily worse over the years with over-large font forcing users to scroll through screens to find what they are looking for and extraneous features and information getting in the way of using the app). An Outstanding Ethical Bank

I've been with Triodos for over a decade. ETHICAL means ethical and you know where your money goes. No war toys, no poisonous Big p-harm-aceuticals, etc. Only organic farming, peaceful temples, local ethical businesses, etc. I also have x 4 Business and Charity accounts and an ISA with them. Ethical and excellent service, unbeatable

Although there is a very small monthly fee, having a current account with a Bank that will never invest in weapons or fossil fuels is more than worth it. My one experience on the phone to customer services was flawless and the fact I've only had to do it once is testament to how simple they have made everything. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026
