Now it’s got Apple Pay it’s perfect!

Now it’s got Apple Pay it’s perfect! It’s always been a great no-frills account, and in previous years I’ve marked it down for not supporting Apple/Google pay because that’s a highly convenient (and secure) way to make online payments. Whilst other banks may have interesting budgeting tools, or ways to split bills between friends with the same account (take a bow, Monzo) these are nice-to-haves. What matters is that the bank is open about how it’s using my money, that the payments are reliable and simple, that my card works every time I tap it (another improvement with the move to Visa this year). The charge is minimal for what we get - I don’t mind paying for separate gadget or travel insurance if I need it. Some users may be affected by the withdrawal of the overdraft facility this year, which was a bit of a surprise, but we have been able to compensate by moving a small amount of savings into the current account to give us the buffer we occasionally need at the end of the month. Ethical banking 5*

Opened a Triodos current account to ditch high street banking - easy to use, good interface on phone and computer. Only used telephone customer services once and near instant answer and friendly, helpful human - simple. I now have a Triodos Isa also. Reviewed on: 10th April 2025

i am over 70. i really apprecate Triodos in that they bother to ex-alin things slowly and carefully - and stay along side while the issue is sorted. they also have rung me back if i get cut off. they behavove like 'real' people rather than automated 'robots'. Reviewed on: 10th April 2025

Excellent ethical bank, well done!!

Most importantly for me they are the most ethical bank out there, all the rest are entirely driven by greed and invest in anything that makes money regardless it's the environment or people; triodos are ethical to the core. Also they've been the best bank for customer service I've ever used. The few problems I've had have been sorted immediately over the last 5 years. App is great, staff really helpful when you call, current account is cheap for what it offers in piece of mind knowing your money is being used in an ethical way (I save with them as well).
