Compassionate, humane banking? Look no further.

I rate Triodos extremely highly as an ethical bank. As a very old woman, (88 years young), I am generally appalled by the ethics involved in high finance and so-called 'growth' or money making for its own sake.. Triodos appears to me to manage to circumvent both greed and corrupt investment, to have compassion for the planet and to communicate both transparently and interestingly to its members, even to those of us whose savings are declining. I particularly enjoy its informative newsletters; hearing about the ethical planet and socially-aware projects Triodos supports can make my day! Triodos seems to buck the trend of extractative, appropriative and self-serving financial dealing, so prevalent in these times. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

User friendly and ethical

The app is really easy to use and all communication with the bank has been simple. The best thing is knowing our savings are not funding unethical companies and are instead doing something positive. Interest rates might not be as high as elsewhere but they're pretty good rates, and it's an opportunity to make a positive social contribution. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2025
