As people who have only ever bought and sold a few properties and being of a certain age we felt that our broker, our solicitors and Vernon made the process relatively stress free. Refreshingly easy to communicate with. Reviewed on: 9th February 2026

A seamless process.

Very happy with Vernon so far

I have only had one direct experience of Vernon Building Society as my mortgage broker has handled all the communication with them up til completion which has only recently occured. I needed to check their criteria for allowing a solicitor to act for them and ourselves in our remortgage before appointing my solicitor and so contacted them. The person I spoke to was extremely helpful and I also understand from my solicitors that Vernon were helpful in finalising the offer within a tight deadline. So far, so good, I am pleased to say. I’ve been with Vernon for over five years now, across two homes, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. During this time, they’ve supported me through two remortgages as well as the porting of my mortgage. They were a huge part of why I was able to purchase my dream home.
