Emergency Remortgage

Very thorough and efficient, and satisfactorily completed. Last ditch attempt to find a suitable lender who could provide what we needed quickly and competitively. Reviewed on: 8th April 2026

Fulfilled our requirements.

As a retired couple we were looking to finance a new Holiday home by the coast and our financial advisor introduced us to Vernon BS who were able to fulfil all our requirements. We applied for a Retirement interest only mortgage and were successful in getting what we needed and able to stay in our home as long as we want to.They are easy to contact and we have enjoyed doing business with them. Vernon BS has been a pleasure to deal with.

Dealing with Vernon BS in connection with a RIO has been a breath of fresh air compared to our previous experiences with More2life (now Royal London and Phoenix (now Standard Life). The former "lost" many overpayments when we were reducing the debt prior to redemption, the sums in question were substantial as the original loan was £400000 furthermore there was absolutely no access to any on line account. With Vernon BS we can access the a/c online in addition thus far any contact by email and telephone has been very quick and helpful. Reviewed on: 1st April 2026

A tailored and personal service for us.

Our first mortgage for many years and likewise our first interaction with a building society for even longer. We were introduced by a mortgage advisor as one of the few dealing with RIO mortgages. Whilst most contact has been via the advisor or our solicitor the feedback was that they were easy to deal with and importantly it was always with the same individual rather than a call centre. It does seem to us to have a very personal touch which is unusual these days. Reviewed on: 1st April 2026
