A great local Building Society

The Vernon is my local Building Society so I am keen to support them. They have local branches and the staff are always very helpful. I can also manage my accounts online and the regular saver account pays an excellent rate of interest. Reviewed on: 13th January 2026

I have been with the Vernon for years and my husband...

I have been with the Vernon for years and my husband also .its our local building society that I can walk to and discuss savings issues with knowledgeable staff and do not have to go on line . I love the old fashioned pay in book and obvious interest added ,again without the internet . I feel I have just one saving account left that is not seen via my iPhone or Mac computer,just accessible physical interaction that is so rare nowadays! Reviewed on: 13th January 2026
