The service at the reddish branch is excellent the staff are always friendly and so helpful. I feel safe saving my small amount of money and know that the interest is good. The staff explain all the options and the different rules to the savings and make it easy for me to understand. I’ve been with the vernon for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. General feedback

Vernon offer a good range of products and their customer service is usually good, I had one negative experience in my most recent visit where i was basically told to go and sort the issue myself when they could have offered to help in my view, but on the whole they are usually friendly and helpful both over the phone/email and in person. A valuable resource for the local

What I like is the knowledge that the Vernon is not part of a large anonymous organisation, with customer service teams often outsourced abroad. When you call you know you are talking ton someone who knows the area where you live and when you visit in branch there will be in person advice and problem solving. The rates are not always the best but they are competitive . Their regular saver ISA has been an excellent produce. As a local building society, the Vernon support their local community with awards and grants, giving members the opportunity to decide where the donations should go. Reviewed on: 27th January 2025
