Friendly knowledgeable staff who supported my dad through my mum’s bereavement and gave invaluable advice on options for reinvesting and entitlement from government in terms of ISAs.They assisted my daughter when buying her apartment and guided my son on investing for his future. For myself they have advised on how I can best move money in to longer term fixed accounts to maximise benefits. For me it’s about making my savings work the best whilst still being able to access if needed. Having a local branch which supports the local community and charities says it all. Excellent Customer Service

Every time I go in the staff are always warm and friendly. I usual go into Poynton or occasionally Bramhall Whilst the rates may not be the best they are good and I prefer the local branches sakes faces and the fact The Vernon is still mutual. Always a smile and very patient service. It feels very personal and advice is always to my needs. One of the main things I like is it’s local and they keep their branches open ! So many banks and building societies closing now. Reviewed on: 13th January 2026
