Clueless - Zero Customer Focus

As a customer of over 65 years, firstly with the Yorkshire Penny Bank, yesterday I went into the Halifax branch (Virgin Money) for the first time as I wanted some face to face financial support. Why Halifax, because my original branch was closed several years ago and the replacement branch was closed recently. The third branch I was assigned (not Halifax) would be three different bus journeys if I did not have a car. So clearly Zero thought went into that decision as Halifax is nearer to my home. Gone are the days when you knew your Bank Manager. I have for a number of years been named on an account of a not for profit organisation that has to pay monthly banking charges because of the type of account we are forced to have. Several attempts to get these fees waived have been met with no understanding or real sympathy. Again Zero customer focus. Imagine my surprise yesterday when I went into the bank in an effort to deposit some foreign currency into my account, knowing that there would be fees and maybe not a favourable exchange rate, only to be told we don't do currency transactions, this was stopped several months ago. Another indicator that Virgin Money has Zero customer focus. As a major shareholder, Sir Richard Branson, a person who I used to admire would do better focusing on the business rather than space travel. Businesses need to focus on their customer base, in my successful business career we always understood that the customer with the £100 order was as important as the customer with £1,000,000. Great service

Yorkshire bank puts customers first. I have never had bank charges on this account for late payments etc whereas I have with others in the past. I have complete peace of mind with this current account. Thank you Reviewed on: 11th January 2018

The B Current Account

This Account has an excellent App. Just the thing when there are so many branch closures. You can easily deposit cheques without having to visit the bank. I have also found that the Customer Service that I received whilst setting up this account was excellent. Reviewed on: 31st December 2017

Best bank I've been with

I have very little personal contact with Yorkshire bank, I've never had any problems to resolve apart from once when my debit card was destroyed and I needed a new one, I went and talked to a lovely lady who went out of her way to get me my new card faster than they usually promise. On the phone when asked for help with their app they were just as helpful. Overall a pleasant experience dealing with their people every time. Reviewed on: 11th November 2017

Current Account heaven: never a mistake.

Have had a Yorkshire Bank current account for almost thirty years and they have never made an error with any transaction. The only time anything went wrong was when a cash machine crashed as it was paying out my money, but the bank let me have it over the counter straight away. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Great account switching service

I've recently moved to Yorkshire bank as I realised I wasn't really getting any benefits with my previous bank of many years. The set up and switching was so painless.
