As a single mother of two I was in a real pickle as I had taken pay day loans to cover holiday club costs for my children when I started my first part time job, I was at my wits end as I was really struggling then I saw the family saver offer which was brilliant it did not matter that my credit score was rubbish that loan helped me make ends meet when I really felt at my lowest, the family saver loan built up a little pot which I could access after my loan was payed off so my children had a great Christmas. My experience with Croydon plus credit union.

My experience with Croydon plus credit union. they are very understanding. I don’t have any problem with them at all getting a loan from them. As long as you’re paying your loan they are happy. I did recommend it to my friends and family. I like it when you call to speak with them they pick up their calls on time. So yes I will continue to recommend it to people. Really helpful patient members of staff , to help explain what’s best for my little family , helped me again when I made a few mistakes , felt very personal, like they knew I was struggling and I felt like I’d met them even though I hadn’t . Financial help when its needed the most

I think Croydon Credit Union deserves this award because. I have been with Croydon Credit Union for several years. I have always had an outstanding experience with the service, whenever I call the office. I am not waiting endless in a queue, my calls are answered promptly. I have found the staff incredibly helpful, making my call smooth and pleasant. The service is quick and efficient, always able to conduct my business in a timely manner. I was always particularly impressed with the staff's commitment to going the extra mile when I needed a loan when my son was at uni. I believe it was a time when my son was studying at Cardiff university. It was an ordeal whenever he came home for the holidays. Travelling backwards and forth by train, was always hectic for him. First trip he came home with his Bedroom, second was the Kitchen and so on, until it was almost a full house of boxes, suitcases and bags. I decided to contribute to what money he had already saved and get a loan for the rest towards a car. To this day, he is still driving around in his old Ford Fiesta. Another ocassionn was at the start of Covid. I was not working and Credit union allowed me to reduce my payments, until such time I was once again in gainful employment to get back on track. Thank you Credit union for providing such a positive experience, whereas I might never have got any loans from my bank, especially with their interest rates. You have been there for me.
