Review of the AA, Personal Loan:

I felt like others - I need to write about my experience !READ IT!

Forget the eligibility checks! The real form will ask you for your debt, mortgage/ rent payments and they will ask you for your salary, be prepared to admit the truth. Firstly yes everyone advertises low APR rates, and by now be prepared to understand you will not get this rate, count yourself lucky if you do not, My application was processed and money in my account in 1.5 days, money always should be in your account by 14:30 - 15:00 before the working day cut off. I have given 3 stars for “Good Customer Experience” simply because of the following; I earn a fair amount which is considered a good wage, I have a low mortgage payment, and low bills. My Credit score is high, between Good/ Excellent between all the different credit agencies. Now AA and other lenders “obviously” know that if you “applied” for a loan and you know it will affect your Credit score with a hard search. You have done your search and now you are given double the Interest rate, this just makes me believe that the Lenders know…. after giving your financial history, and credit history, you have “Credit utilisation” to spare, than they will take advantage of that and offer you a double rate than advertised. This is what happened to me, unfortunately I am in a situation where I needed the money, this was my option and I am happy and content with the payments. Useless and governing body need to investigate

Same as most applied got accepted and money would be in within 2 days 10 days later nothing no email no phone call,, nothing through post just nothing at all how can they get away with treating customers like this, I guess they changed there mind???? What a waste of time anyway went tesco bank and got it sorted within a few hours . AVOID AA FINANCE ABSOLUTE TRASH. Reviewed on: 24th October 2022

THEY APPROVE AND THEN DECLINE DESTROYING YOUR CREDIT

every time you apply they always say online they are approving your personal loan and then predictably a few days later a letter in the post saying they have declined for mysterious reasons. This is destroying peoples credit. They need to stop doing this shit Reviewed on: 15th October 2022

AVOID AA LOANS

Lulled in with low APR on advert and comparison sites only for 3.1 to go to 13.6 at end of application. Claimed it was based on risk. Explained I had healthy income, no debt and excellent credit rating. Gone elsewhere. Who would qualify for their advertised rate is beyond me. False advertising at best, fraudulent behaviour at worst. Reviewed on: 10th August 2022

Absolutely rubbish, misleading and horrendous communication

Filled online application form out, was accepted and told the money would be there in two days (unless further checks were needed, then a letter would be sent). Waited four days then rang. Was told they needed more information...OK but when was I going to get told this? No letter or email, they said they were telling me now! (But I rang them). Was told to send my bank statements in, so I did this. Waited a further four days (I send statements by recorded delivery) was told it could be another 3-5days. I just gave up. Same experience as the others

Approved for a loan, signed the agreement. Told to wait 2 days for funds to be sent and waited 2 weeks only to get a decline letter in the post? These people are incompetent Reviewed on: 5th July 2022

ABSOLUTE JOKE

pre applied and was told 3.1% APR so I applied and then got told its actually 10.9% Obviously I asked why as my Experian credit score is literally perfect 999/999 then tried saying its based on my circumstances! My circumstances of having perfect credit score, no debt, high income with high amount of disposable income, went striaght to my bank and got 2.9% no issues Reviewed on: 22nd June 2022

Absolute con

I only proceeded because of the 9.5 out of 10 chance of being accepted at 2.8%. What a con. Just want you to sign up with Freedom Finance at a higher rate. Now have a search on my credit rating with a negative outcome.not impressed I will change my family AA plan and my business AA plan to another provider. Very disappointed with AA, I thought they were an old school type of company but apparently not. You’ve just lost all my business and will only get negative reviews and no recommendations from me. stay away

95% preapproved 3% became 12.9%, on top of that put a hard check on my credit history, scammers Reviewed on: 1st June 2022

DO NOT BE SUCKERED IN BY THE FALSE LOW RATE.

999 credit rating. 99% chance of acceptance through Experian. offered 2.8% and switched to 12% after completing the application. Now I have a check on my history that wouldn't be there if they didn't lie about what they were offering Reviewed on: 3rd May 2022
