Review of the Admiral, Car insurance:

Truly customer focused

I’ve been with one other car insurer but always find myself coming back to admiral. I’ve been with the sister companies aswell and all I can say is that they appear to be customer focused. I haven’t yet had to make a claim but I’m sure that the claim experience would match up to the current service I am receiving. What shocked me was when they made a pledge to reimburse everyone £25 - this shows that they are not choosing to profit on the amount of money saved due to COVID. They want to reward their customers for sticking to the guidelines (which clearly showed was being adhered to via the companies outgoings on claims) Reviewed on: 2nd August 2020

Efficient, easy to contact, pretty seamless service

I would give a top rating to Admiral save for two things: when I first insured with Admiral years ago their quotes were exceptionally competitive, no longer. Despite many lower quotes I have however remained a loyal Admiral customer - so far -because of their efficient/friendly service plus inertia. The second niggle is that Admiral do not yet offer pay-by-mile insurance. Fixed mileage thresholds in insurance policies is a pretty archaic way of valuing motoring risk plus bad news for drivers that substantially undershoot the thresholds (as occurred to many during Covid and due to the more recent fuel-price inflation). Having said that, few insurers have yet grasped the pay-by-mile opportunity. Reviewed on: 13th August 2022

No fuss provider

I was trying to insure a new car, my existing insurance provider refused to insure my vehicle, because they could not find the exact model in their database, despite the fact it was registered with the DVLA. Admiral not only insured my vehicle, but did it a lot cheaper. I have subsequently found out that they also offer a lot of other services which my previous company did not. Will probably move my other vehicles over to them when my other policy expires. Reviewed on: 13th August 2022
