About this product

Aegon offered a Retiready Pension which was withdrawn for new customers from December 2023. For existing customers, it has a maximum service charge of 0.5% per year.

Disgusting company

I requested my payment on the 13th of January & they have continuously failed & refused to make it. I requested a call from the complaints department which i received some 3 weeks later. I was given a number to call but conveniently the number was no longer available. I know have spoken with the Pension Ombudsman & requested transcripts of all my conversations with Aegon. To say i am in totally disbelief would be an understatement. Absolutely disgusted doesn't even come close. Reviewed on: 3rd March 2023

Pension lost Month on Month

I have a company pension with Aegon a my payments in = GBP £ 18795.00 current value GBP £ 14.365.00 they dont have a planb but just keep[ losing money month on month I have paid in GBP 365.00 in February and the fund has gone done again by GBP £ 700.00 this is a month on month loss for the last year. Absolutely no comments from my contact with them althouth they are still charging a handling fee ha ha ...... My advice is steer clear they are incompetent have no interest ( Pardon the pun ) and ignore all attempts to contact directy. Aegon RitireReady

I have just joined Aegon with my employer pension. The product is RetireReady and it is a fantastic user interface with lots of videos to help plan for your future and various assessments to goals and risks. They have also introduced and app as well which is great. Reviewed on: 28th February 2023

This company is incompetent!

Not only have they lost over 30% of my pension pot, invested in a low risk category; they also are a nightmare from an administrative viewpoint. It takes ages to get through to them, a request for a quotation made on the 7th February has not been received to date 27th February and no indication of how much longer. Since the initial request my funds have dropped further significantly. The adviser told me that I was responsible for my own investments as apparently they are not responsible for any investments. Rubbish

My partner was suffering from cancer. She wanted her pension paid out .not not had it lost thousands they make it awkward to receive. It provided all information they wanted still didn't want to pay out do not invest here. Reviewed on: 17th February 2023

Do not use

I have lost £12,000 off my £33,000 pension, I am in a low rick and when I asked why such a big amount has been wiped off my pension they just said pensions go down as well as up. No interaction from them what so ever, Reviewed on: 7th February 2023

Where has over one third of my investment GONE, AEGON?

My pension pot was with Scottish Equitable, now Aegon. From 2017 to 2020 the value increased by almost 18% - excellent! But since then it's dropped by over 35%, mostly over the last 12 months. OK, there's a war going on in Europe, but how could the so-called Fund Manager allow it to crash so badly - especially as it's a supposedly a safe retirement fund with 75% in government bonds and 25% in cash?
