A nightmare to deal with!

Trying to make a claim with Ageas is a soul destroying experience. I've been left without a car for 3 weeks now, I have spoken to 7 different people all of whom seem to get bits of information wrong, don't read the notes, don't know who's at fault and never update me. They just want to wash their hands of the situation and have offered well below market value for a total loss claim. Avoid at all costs. They won't even give me direct access to my claim handler which adds to the Chinese whispers aspect of my claim. Find insurance with a better underwriter, spend more on your insurance initially so you don't have to deal with the stress. I wish I did. Reviewed on: 15th December 2022

SCAMMER AND BULLY!!!

This company is a SCAM and rip off-AVOID FOR YOUR OWN SANITY. THEY WILL USE BULLYING TACTICS TO SWINDLE YOU OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Took out insurance then weeks later they claim that they will have to increase my premiums because they've discover on a comparison website that I bought my car in July and not August. They requested my documents which confirmed this was indeed August. THEN, not satisfied with this, they then claim the discrepancy was to do with the year 2021 and not 2022 and so they will either cancel my policy and keep hold of my premium or I need to pay them additional premium atop the price I'd already paid for the insurance plus fees. I sought legal advice from my lawyers and the ombudsman because this company is dishonest and quite frankly fraudulent - this has caused me alot of unnecessary distress. AGEAS - dont even bother to comment with your 'sorry bla bla bla story' because I will be dragging you through the courts or to the ombudsman for harassing me if I have to. 3rd party accepted full liability and Ageas voided my insurance because my front grille was not standard

Terrible

Took money for renewal one week before renewal date. Took over an hour to get through. Then she was waffling on for another 5. In the end I told her just cancel and refund. Reviewed on: 31st August 2022

Buyer beware...

They may be the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Any deviations or claims and that's when they sting you. Problem at bank resulting in delayed payment and them charging £30 . Car broke down on motorway 31 miles from garage/home. Small print...your breakdown covers 20miles. Had to pay excess of £40.92. Never again will I use this company. Fortunately, renewal is up shortly so I'll certainly be leaving. Reviewed on: 26th August 2022

MISLEADING AND FALSE BE AWARE AND RUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a CLASSIC CAR insured through FOOTMANJAMES (BEWARE). They promised experienced ,knowledgeable insurers with understanding of the classic car and owner. This is false. They farmed me to AGEAS, they claim they have a dedicated team especially for the classic car owner. They claim this team is dedicated, experienced, knowledgeable, tailored to the classic car and owner. This is the appalling treatment I received. I was given a total loss handler, Bridie. She had NO EXPERIENCE, NO KNOWLEDGE, NO MANNERS,SHE WAS AGGRESSIVE, VINDICTIVE, MANIPULATING BULLY. She e-mailed (IN HOUSE ENGINEER,). Engineer 1. He told her I have NO IDEA ON VALUE!, DO NOT WANT TO KNOW!. passed it back to her. Engineer number 2, I HAVE NO IDEA ON VALUE, DO NOT WANT TO KNOW .Passed it back. Engineer number 3, I HAVE NO IDEA I have a copy of CAR AND CLASSIC will send it over. with the advice wait for the salvage photos, value it from them. Nothing, Nothing, telephoning, e-mailing Nothing yet, still nothing. AND THEN. Using a third-party contact number without any appointment, any knowledge to myself. SENT ENGINEER number 4, TO MY HOME ,she new the car was not there!!!! I was shocked, embarrassed, very upset. She had purposely made FOOLS OF BOTH MYSELF AND ENGINEER number 4. When engineer number 4 got back to her SHE THEN REMOVED ALL PAPERWORK AND INFORMATION from him. (engineer number 4 stated how highly unusual and this never happens). Now she refuses all contact. Handpicked, personally chosen in house engineer number 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. VALUED CLASSIC VEHICLE 100% salvage which was (VERY HEAVY REAR, TOTAL LOSS. He had NO EXPERIENCE, NO KNOWLEDGE ,and was using car and classic as his guide. His report was false and very misleading. This report lowered the value of my classic by 60%. I accepted the ORIGINAL AGEAS OFFER at least 3 days before this was done. She was so malicious and vindictive bully she did not care. She stated that If I did not like that she had lowered the offer by 60% go to the FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN. Footmanjames give NO HELP!!!!!!!!!. I told them I was going to get a lawyer.( USE THE OMBUDSMAN IT IS FREE YOU) you will not have to pay. Footmanjames gave the worst ADVICE EVER. The ombudsman service REMOVES all of your LEGAL RIGHTS. THEY ALLOW THE COMPANIES TO BREAK INSURANCE LAWS AND OBLIGATIONS. LAWS AND OBLIGATIONS ARE TOTALLY REMOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.THE OMBUDSMAN HAS IRON CLAD LEGAL PROTECTION WHILST REMOVING ALL OF YOURS. THIS IS SO HYPICRITICAL AND UNFAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Total loss handler Bridie was MALICIOUS, VINDICTIVE, MANIPULATING, AGRESSIVE BULLY. She made NO VOIDS broke laws and obligations and then LEFT OR WAS PUSHED from the company. Does any of this sound PROFFESSIONAL,EXPERIENCED, KNOWLDGEABLE, UNDERSTANDING of CLASSIC CAR AND OWNER???????. THE PROMISES MADE BY FOOTMANJAMES AND AGEAS ARE FALSE, EXTREMELY MISLEADING. I have lost thousands of pounds, have been placed on site for view, as A LIAR A FRAUD A CHEAT. MY OPINION this treatment and false claim is nothing short of ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
