My car was resently place with this company by insurance brookers Brightside My car was subsequently stolen ( this i might add i had nothing to do with) firstly they have been left waiting for month the customer service has been compleatly unintrested and continuosly fobbed me off They are using inaccurate information to prejudice the claim in there favour the customer service is shocking at best They are trying every tric in the book to not to pay the claim. they will also no let me know where the vehicle is being kept or return my key. this case is now with the financial ombudsman. please read other online reviews where there are many other horrific case of how ageas other customer Brightside insurance broker have also been extremely un helpful Reviewed on: 17th July 2017

Conflicting advice, unwilling to help

Ageas constantly told me that I had cover for lost earnings shortly after accident. They then did a 180 and said they never cover such things after telling me to document everything and send them proof. Then they did nothing for three monhs before saying that they couldn’t dispute the other drivers claims even though they could dispute mine. They didn’t fight my corner one bit, gave me conflicting advice and seemed completly unintrrested in my situation. Couldn’t even resend my policy to me Reviewed on: 23rd March 2017

I had a car accident. Informed ageas, best word to describe them: awkward. They made a difficult situation much more difficult, mistakes made, avoidance tactics etc. Go to a reputable company, not ageas. Reviewed on: 2nd December 2016

Car swap.

£680 CHARGE FOR A CAR SWAP !!! I have taken the AGEAS insurance through the Swinton, my car is old 2002 and breaks down quite often, wanted to swap the car for a 2010, they've calculated the additional £680 on the top of my existing policy !!! Be aware of it when you think of taking this insurance, nobody will tell you about it at the beginning! Reviewed on: 28th August 2016

A third party car reversed into me, I did every thing right, got details, the third party admitted it was there fault, got witness Details, unfortunately , after the initial quote, via claims fast, (who have been fantastic by the way,) but because the repair was more than the cost of repair, I was past to Ageas, they are rude unhelpful , and plainly not interested, after my first call to them I was breaking my heart , they were so horrid , now because the policy is in my husband name and I am only the named driver they won't even speak to me about it , even though he has already given permission on two occasions, so I have no idea where my car is as it was taken from the original garage , to an Ageas approved garage, all my personal belongings are still in the car. I have a terrible feeling I am going to be left very badly out of pocket by this experience. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Good customer service after accident

I switched my car insurance to Ageas earlier in the year and following a car accident I received excellent customer service. A hire car was quickly arranged and repairs to my vehicle swiftly arranged. I was very pleased with the help I received. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015
