I've taken the advice of Martin Lewis this year and made a note to shop for car insurance really early, and so far the experience has been brilliant and it's paid off with Allianz. I started my journey with 'Quidco Compare' in hope that I could get some cashback later down the line. I put in my details and the two best quotes retrieved were from Allianz, one was their 'comprehensive' package and the other the 'essentials' package. The 'comprehensive' package was interesting as it included legal cover, courtesy car, personal accident, windscreen and more... and for a great price, just shy of £300 compared to last years, £425. Taking further advice from Martin Lewis and his site, I "tweaked" details and got the quote reduced by about £6. Finally I looked into adding my partner as a named driverwhich in turn reduced it even further!! I was on a roll with the handbrake off!! Finally I ended my run with a fantastic quote of around £227 and later down the line will receive the £45 cashback. I'm happy with a 2024 to 2025 car insurance premium of around £180!! It's not who you know, it's what you know - I've had such a bargain from Allianz I've even opted for protected NCB. Reviewed on: 8th October 2024
