Poor value compared to other savings providers We have a number of savings accounts. Atom bank has been the worst by far in terms of offering one rate and then dropping the rate. Do not recommend Reviewed on: 9th March 2026

Great bank that gives peace of mind.

I've renewed my savings account several times with Atom Bank. The app is very easy to use, and it's a carefree way of saving. On the occasion I need to speak to someone, I've always had a helpful and very nice person on the phone. They are easy to get through to, and it's good to know they're in England. Great bank based in the North East of England

I have had an account with Atom virtually since they were set up. I wanted to invest in a smaller bank, as an alternative to the big high street banks. Everything is done via the app, but this is super user friendly and I find information to be clearly laid out and easy to understand. Yes interest rates fluctuate, and they aren't necessarily always providing the best interest rate, but I am pleased to support a bank based in the North East of England Reviewed on: 12th February 2026

I've been with Atom for a few years now.

I've been with Atom for a few years now. Their rates are terrific and, as a 71 year old woman I sometimes don't understand how a bit of the system works customer service wrap me in an understanding virtual hug. Love it. Ditto this - I have been a saver with Atom for 3/4 years and whilst their interest rates are competitive, it is also the ease in dealing with their online system, be it first enrolment, transfers in an account, between accounts and any need to speak to staff it is ALL first rate; helpful, polite and nothing is too much trouble.
