Old world banking, inefficient and outdated

I have been a Barclays customer for over 15 years, and I have seen their service drop constantly over that time. With the closure of branches, offshoring of call centres, increased charges, inflexible lending, to name just some of their failings, this is a 20th century bank that is being rightly left behind by the new startups that are focused on customer service (such as Starling and Revolut) ahead of making a buck or two. Straightforward service

Was a hassle setting up the bank account and poor service

Good rewards but lots of hassle when first set up bank account as had to go into a branch and wait for 2 hours before being seen. Reviewed on: 31st December 2019

Trouble free since 2003
